First release of sweet corn, ham, and egg custard
A tender steamed egg custard folded with freshly grated sweet corn and diced ham, the corn milk lending natural sweetness to its soft, slippery set.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the ingredients: fresh and tender white corn is both sweet and sticky, and the broth cooked from it is naturally sweet. Its inherent sweetness is more palatable than adding sugar.
- 2

Corn is crushed into a paste using a grater, with some small fine grains. The crushed corn grains have some chewiness in the mouth, but it is still better to choose younger corn, as the paste will have more juice and less residue, resulting in a smoother and more tender texture.
- 3

Break in the eggs and mix evenly.
- 4

Add boiling water above 80 degrees Celsius, usually one spoon of water per egg, and stir well. Add peeled, washed, and chopped green onions, salt, oil, five-spice powder, and pepper, and mix well.
- 5

Slice the ham sausage and place it on top.
- 6

Steam in the steamer basket for 10 minutes.
- 7

Steamed egg custard.
- 8

The fragrant, sweet, and soft corn custard is ready, loved by both the elderly and children.
