Five-Spice Braised Beef
Beef braised slowly with whole spices and red-braised soy emerges firm, deeply savory, and fragrant. Chilled and sliced thin, it is the kind of cold cut guests quietly fight over.
Instructions
- 1

Put the beef into a pot, add cooking wine, scallion sections, and ginger slices to blanch.
- 2

Set aside the superficial.
- 3

Cook until there is no blood.
- 4

Take out the blanched beef and put it into a pressure cooker, add a seasoning bag for braising meat, sections of green onion, salt, dark soy sauce, and an appropriate amount of red yeast rice to cook (set the time according to the function of your own pressure cooker; I set it to 40 minutes under pressure).
- 5

Take the marinated beef out and let it cool before slicing.
- 6

Make a dipping sauce.
- 7

Slice the beef thinly and arrange it on a plate, pour in the sauce, and add the minced garlic.
- 8

Just garnish with chopped green onions. The five-spice beef is tender but not falling apart, flavorful and delicious, with a strong beef taste.
