Five-Spice Edamame Peanuts
Peanuts and edamame share one gently simmering pot perfumed with star anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan pepper, growing more savory and aromatic the longer they sit in the broth.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the edamame and cut off both ends to allow the flavor to penetrate.
- 2

Pour cold water into a clay pot, add an appropriate amount of salt, chopped green onions, sliced ginger, star anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorns, then put in the washed peanuts to cook together (if you like spicy flavors, you can add some chili).
- 3

After the water boils, cook for ten minutes (it smells so good), then add the edamame.
- 4

Cook until the edamame and peanuts are just tender (the cooking time can be adjusted according to personal taste).
- 5

If it works this time, you can make a bit more next time.
- 6

Fragrant edamame and peanuts, very tasty 😊~
