Four-flavor orange peel
Fresh orange peel is blanched for half an hour to banish bitterness, then chopped with ginger and garlic and dressed in vinegar, dark soy and honey for four distinct flavors.
Instructions
- 1
One fresh orange, washed
- 2
Prepare the seasonings (vinegar, dark soy sauce, honey)
- 3
Cut the fresh orange into four pieces and peel off the orange skin
- 4
Soak the orange peel in boiling water (this step is very important to remove the excess bitterness of the orange peel) for half an hour.
- 5
Rinse the soaked orange peel once with clean water and chop it finely with a knife, and meanwhile, chop some ginger and garlic as well.
- 6
Put all the chopped ingredients into a large bowl, drizzle with dark soy sauce, add a few drops of fragrant vinegar, a small spoonful of honey, and a suitable amount of salt, mix well, then sprinkle a layer of chili powder on top.
- 7
Place the wok over the fire, pour in vegetable oil and bring it to a boil, then pour it over the chili powder. Stir evenly again, and a bowl of sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy orange peel is ready.
