Fragrant Glutinous Red Bean Balls
Sweet red beans slow-cooked until velvety and served with chewy glutinous rice dumplings boiled until they float, a warm dessert of earthy sweetness and springy bites.
Instructions
- 1

Soak the red beans in clear water for 12 hours, put them into the rice cooker, select the soup function, which is 2 hours, and then let it simmer for another 2 hours without opening the lid.
- 2

Add an appropriate amount of hot water to the glutinous rice flour and knead it into a dough. Water should be added little by little, adjusting as you knead. The glutinous rice dough does not require much water, and beginners often make it too watery.
- 3

Store the glutinous rice dough into small round balls, put them into the pot when the water boils and cook until they float, then remove and cool.
- 4

Take an appropriate amount of red bean porridge and put it in a small pot, add glutinous rice flour water, rock sugar, and white sugar, bring it to a boil, then add small rice balls and bring it to a boil again.
