Fresh corn juice knife-cut steamed buns
Soft, fluffy steamed buns made from a dough of fresh sweet corn juice, flour, and yeast, rolled and cut into pieces before a second rise and steaming.
Instructions
- 1

Remove the kernels from the sweet corn.
- 2

Add a little water and blend it into juice in a blender.
- 3

Pour into a large bowl and mix in the yeast powder.
- 4

Add the flour and sugar and stir with chopsticks until it forms a flaky texture, then knead by hand into a smooth dough, cover, and let it ferment in a warm place.
- 5

Take the fermented dough out and place it on the workbench to knead and release the air, then roll it into a long strip.
- 6

Cut into small, even pieces.
- 7

Place it on a steaming tray lined with corn husks, cover, and let it rest and rise a second time.
- 8

When the steamed bun dough has grown larger and lighter, place it in the steamer with cold water. Steam for 15 minutes after the water comes to a boil and produces steam, then turn off the heat and let it steam with the lid on for 5 more minutes before opening.
- 9

Loudly soft and sweet corn cut with a knife, delicious and nutritious.
