Frosted Hawthorn Balls
Fresh hawthorn berries are tossed in hot sugar syrup with a splash of vinegar, then stirred until the sugar crystallizes into a snowy frosted coating - a sweet-tart snack.
Instructions
- 1

Pour water and sugar into the pot, and simmer over low heat until it forms large bubbles.
- 2

Large bubbles turn into dense small bubbles, and when the spoon is lifted, they form a line.
- 3

Add white vinegar, turn off the heat, and let cool for three minutes.
- 4

Pour in the hawthorn and stir-fry.
- 5

It's very sticky now, don't worry about it, keep stir-frying.
- 6

The icing has slowly taken shape, continue stirring.
- 7

A simple and appetizing hawthorn snack is just right.
