Garlic-flavored Okra

Garlic-flavored Okra

Blanched okra split lengthwise and draped in fragrant raw garlic oil, a simple preparation that keeps the pods glossy, tender and faintly sweet.

Instructions

  1. 1
    Step image

Clean the okra with salt and flour.

  2. 2
    Step image

Add salt and oil to a suitable amount of water to keep the vegetables colorful.

  3. 3

Boil for 2 minutes, then take out and rinse with cold water.

  4. 4
    Step image

Remove the root at the back and cut it in half.

  5. 5
    Step image

Cut in half and place on the plate.

Today I'm using mashed garlic. If you're not a big fan of garlic paste, you don't need to crush the garlic too finely.

  7. 7
    Step image

Put the garlic into a cup, pour in the hot oil to activate the garlic aroma, then add sugar, light soy sauce, MSG, and a small amount of oyster sauce. You can add an appropriate amount of boiling water (when preparing the sauce, you can also do it directly in the pan; personally, I think doing it in the pan works well, so the garlic won't be sharp).

    Alright.
