Glutinous Rice Balls
Steamed pork meatballs coated in soaked glutinous rice, forming a pearly, sticky crust around a juicy, well-seasoned center.
Instructions
- 1

Chop the pork hind leg meat into small pieces and put it into a bowl. Add the minced ginger and minced green onion, then add an appropriate amount of thirteen-spice salt, chicken essence, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and two tablespoons of sweet potato starch. Finally, crack in an egg.
- 2

After mixing evenly, pour in the cooking oil, then mix again. You can also add sesame oil.
- 3

Soak glutinous rice in cold water for more than four hours in advance. I soak the glutinous rice the night before going to bed.
- 4

Use tools or your hands to roll the minced meat back into its original shape, then roll it in soaked glutinous rice and arrange them neatly.
- 5

Steam in the oven at 100 degrees for 20 minutes. You can also steam it in a steamer, it's the same either way.
- 6

After removing from the pot, garnish with black sesame seeds, or you can also garnish with green onions and rehydrated goji berries.
