Hand-grabbed pancake style apple pie
Rustic apple pie built on flaky roti pastry, filled with caramelized cinnamon-spiced apples. An effortless shortcut that delivers all the comfort of the classic dessert.
Instructions
- 1
First, make the filling. Put the butter in a pan and melt it over low heat, then add the peeled diced apples. The apple pieces should be cut as small as possible. Stir continuously over low heat until the apple pieces soften, which takes about five minutes. Add sugar and salt and stir evenly. Mix the cornstarch with 15 grams of water and pour it into the pan, stirring evenly until thickened.

The apples I used are relatively small; for large apples, one is enough. The quantities of the other ingredients do not need to be adjusted. My son tasted the stir-fried filling and said it is delicious to eat on its own... Let it cool and set aside.

Let the hand-grabbed pancakes soften slightly at room temperature, then cut them into four equal parts on average, and put an appropriate amount of apple filling into each portion.
- 4
Wrap into a triangular apple pie shape, pinch the edges to seal, and the seam can be pressed firmly with a fork.
- 5
Line the baking tray with parchment paper, arrange the apple pie fillings evenly, brush the surface with a layer of egg wash, and sprinkle an appropriate amount of black sesame seeds.
- 6
When using the Galanz air fryer oven combo, select the "Air Fry" mode. The apple pie made in air fry mode has an extremely crispy crust! Bake at 170 degrees for 20 minutes.

Once the surface is slightly golden, it can be taken out of the oven. Let it cool a bit until it's not hot, and then you can start eating~

Plate it up, it looks super pretty~

Take a bite, the outer crust is crumbly, full of filling, fragrant and sweet, crispy and crunchy, super delicious!
