Hawaiian Fried Chicken Pizza
A homemade recipe for Hawaiian Fried Chicken Pizza, combining high-gluten flour, low-gluten flour and white sugar; baked until crispy with melted toppings.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients. Canned pineapple and canned yellow peaches are two types of canned fruits that are more suitable for making pizza. Drain the juice and set aside. Pre-cook the popcorn chicken in an air fryer at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Prepare pizza sauce and spicy garlic chili seasoning sauce for seasoning.
- 2
Prepare to knead the dough: put high-gluten flour, low-gluten flour, sugar, yeast powder, and salt into a bowl and mix evenly (you can also directly use 150 grams of regular all-purpose flour to replace the two kinds of flour). Add water and stir until it becomes a shaggy mixture, then knead into a dough by hand. Knead a bit longer, about three minutes. Add cooking oil, first use the palm of your hand to press and fold the dough so that the dough and oil mix evenly, then knead for another three minutes until it is less sticky. Shape into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate to rest for one hour.

After taking the dough out of the refrigerator, let it sit at room temperature for twenty minutes before using. Use cornmeal as hand flour. The dough does not need to be kneaded; press from the center to the edges with your hands, using your palms to make the edges slightly thicker to form the pizza base. This recipe can make an 8-inch pizza; if you prefer a thinner crust, you can make it 9 inches. Brush off excess cornmeal from the prepared pizza base with a brush, transfer it to the mold, and poke some small holes in the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling during baking.

Spread the pizza sauce on the base, add the garlic chili seasoning sauce, and mix evenly with a brush before brushing it all over the base. The garlic chili is a very authentic Western-style dining condiment that we always keep at home, offering many flavor options. The garlic chili seasoning sauce has a unique flavor, and its special garlic aroma makes it especially delicious when added to pizza.
- 5
Sprinkle a layer of softened shredded mozzarella cheese on the surface.
- 6
Evenly place the fried popcorn chicken and the two types of canned fruit on the pizza dough. Cut some cherry tomatoes in half and place them as well. Finally, sprinkle a layer of softened shredded mozzarella cheese on top, and it’s ready to go into the oven. Preheat the oven to 230°C with both upper and lower heat, bake in the middle rack for about 10 minutes, and take it out once the edges are colored.
