Homemade Black Pepper Sauce
Aromatic onion, garlic and ginger are softened in butter, blended smooth and simmered with seasonings into a velvety sauce that pairs wonderfully with steaks.
Instructions
- 1

Onions, garlic, and ginger, chopped and set aside
- 2

Heat the pan and add a small piece of butter.
- 3

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and stir-fry until fragrant
- 4

Pour in clean water, bring it to a boil, then turn off the heat and let it cool. (It would be even better if you use broth instead of clean water)
- 5

After cooling, pour into a blender and blend into a paste, then pour it back into the pot and continue cooking. Then add all the seasonings except the cornstarch and mix well.
- 6

Finally, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry and add it to the boiling mixture (only a small amount of cornstarch water is needed).
- 7

Just pour it over the steak. If you don't use it all at once, you can freeze it in the refrigerator and just heat it up next time you eat it.
