Homemade Crispy Beef Biscuit

Homemade Crispy Beef Biscuit

Homemade crispy beef buns: soy-and-spice marinated beef strips are wrapped in soft yeasted dough, then baked until the crust turns shatteringly crisp around the juicy filling.

Instructions

  1. 1
    Step image

Prepare the main ingredients: flour, beef, chili peppers, lettuce.

  2. 2
    Step image

Wash the beef, tenderize it with a knife, and cut it into strips. Add cinnamon, star anise, pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, chili, and Orleans barbecue wing powder (optional, it’s not really that good), and an appropriate amount of starch. Mix well and marinate for 3 hours.

  3. 3
    Step image

Add the yeast dissolved in warm water to the flour, knead until smooth, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for half an hour.

  4. 4

Knead the prepared dough and cut it into small portions, cover with a damp cloth, and let rest for 10 minutes.

  5. 5
    Step image

Roll the dough into an oblong shape and brush one side with oil.

  6. 6
    Step image

    Fold it in half.

  7. 7
    Step image

Roll the dough into a cylindrical shape, then press it from top to bottom, rolling it into a sheet of dough.

  8. 8
    Step image

Fry in a pan with a small amount of oil over low heat until golden yellow. You can choose to add an egg according to your taste; adding an egg will prevent the pancake from breaking apart when crispy, but it will increase the greasiness. Stand the fried pancake upright to drain the oil and set aside.

  9. 9
    Step image

Add the marinated beef into an oiled pan and stir-fry. Add a small bowl of water, cover, and let the sauce reduce. When the sauce is almost reduced, remove the star anise and cinnamon, add the chili peppers, stir-fry, and then serve.

On the pancake, sequentially add lettuce leaves, stir-fried beef strips, and salad dressing.

  12. 12

Fold it in half, and it's done.
