Homemade Pizza Sauce
Peeled ripe tomatoes, sweet onion, and garlic simmer gently with sugar and salt until thick and glossy, a fresher answer to anything sold in a can.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients: tomatoes, onions, and garlic.
- 2

Peel the tomatoes (blanch in hot water briefly, making it easier to peel) and cut into small cubes. Mince the garlic and dice the onion, set aside.
- 3

Add oil to the pan and heat over low heat until it reaches five layers of heat.
- 4

Pour in the onions and sauté over low heat until fragrant
- 5

Pour over the tomatoes on medium heat and stir-fry until they release juice
- 6

Add sugar after extracting the broth
- 7

Add salt, cover the pot, and continue to simmer on low heat slowly
- 8

Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the tomatoes are soft, then add the minced garlic and stir-fry.
- 9

After reducing the sauce, add thirteen spices (our family doesn’t like the taste of oregano, so I used Chinese spices instead).
- 10

Put it in a sealed bowl and store it in the refrigerator, where it can be kept for 7 to 10 days (but it should be consumed as soon as possible).
