Homemade Roujiamo
Pork braised in a spice packet with soy sauce and brown sugar until fall-apart tender, then chopped and stuffed into purchased flatbreads, a hearty homemade roujiamo.
Instructions
- 1
Cut the meat into pieces, not too small, since it will be chopped later. Keep it simple: just add a braising spice pack, soy sauce, a little brown sugar, a small piece of rock sugar, and half a spoon of salt. There's no fixed ratio here; braise the meat according to your usual taste. Put it in the rice cooker and cook for the usual rice cooking time, and the meat will be very tender.

For the flatbread, I buy it ready-made. It's simpler to buy the kind specifically for meat sandwiches. You don't need much oil, or you can skip it. Just fry it until it puffs up!
- 3
Chop the meat finely, and tear the pancake in half.
- 4
Then it can be wrapped.
- 5
Made it at home myself, it's relatively simple, and eating just one is filling~
