Homemade spicy strips
The beloved Chinese snack recreated at home: steamed dried tofu skins fried to your preferred chew or crunch, then tossed in fragrant chili oil infused with star anise, cinnamon and sesame.
Instructions
- 1

Dried tofu skin, we call this 'people-made meat', soak until soft.
- 2

Steam on the stove for ten minutes.
- 3

Chop the garlic finely, and prepare white sesame seeds, white sugar, and coarse and fine chili powder.
- 4

Prepare the bay leaves, star anise, Sichuan peppercorns, and cinnamon.
- 5

Steamed bean curd skin, cut off.
- 6

When the oil is about 50% hot, put it in the pan to fry. If you want it soft, fry it briefly; if you want it crispy, fry it longer.
- 7

Take out the tofu skin, leave enough oil, fry the spices until fragrant, and remove the residue.
- 8

Stir-fry the garlic until it glows a little, then add chili powder.
- 9

Finally, toss the fried tofu skin.
- 10

Doesn't it look very appetizing?
