Homemade Steamed Corn Buns
Rustic buckwheat cones pinched into little bowls and steamed, then filled with a punchy stir-fry of minced pork, wood ear, and bamboo shoots in savory doubanjiang sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Soak dry wood ear mushrooms and set aside.
- 2
Soak dried Chinese yam shreds in water and set aside.
- 3
Crush the pork and set it aside.
- 4
Finely chop the daylily buds and wood ear mushrooms and set aside.
- 5
Buckwheat noodles can be used once the dough has been kneaded and allowed to rise.
- 6
Shape the dough into a bowl shape and steam it until cooked.
- 7
Add the chopped ingredients to the doubanjiang and stir-fry until cooked and aromatic, then serve.
- 8
Serve the side dishes in a bowl of steamed buckwheat; the taste is no less than that of side dishes made with preserved vegetables.
