Hot and sour cucumber strips
Cucumber batons get a salty pre-soak, a careful rinse, then a bold tumble in sugar, vinegar, chili oil, and fragrant sesame.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the cucumber and cut it into strips, sprinkle with salt, and let it marinate for twenty to thirty minutes. I marinated it a bit longer, so it's salty, haha.
- 2
After pickling, rinse repeatedly with clean water. Drain.

Add white sugar, I used a small seasoning spoon, a full six spoons (I had previously added three spoons, not sweet enough, hehe, I love sweets). One tablespoon of chili oil, three tablespoons of vinegar, two tablespoons of light soy sauce (note it is light soy sauce, not regular soy sauce), and then a little sesame oil. After mixing the seasonings well, marinate for another half hour to let the flavors soak in...

Packed the lunchbox, the side dishes for lunch are ready, how is it? Decent, right? Hehehe
