In summer, instead of cooking or steaming pumpkin, it's tastier to mix it cold with a sweet and sour dressing to whet the appetite.
Shredded raw pumpkin is softened with salt and sugar, then brightened by passion fruit pulp and rice vinegar for a sweet-tart crunch.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2

Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop out the pulp to set aside for later use.
- 3

Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, wash it clean, cut it in half, and use a grater to shred it into pumpkin strips or thin slices, then place them in a container.
- 4

Add salt and white sugar.
- 5

Put on disposable gloves and stir evenly until the pumpkin becomes soft and cooked through.
- 6

Add rice vinegar and stir well, then marinate for about 5 minutes.
- 7

Squeeze the water out of the pickled pumpkin, rinse it thoroughly with purified water, wring out the water, and place it in a bowl.
- 8

Add the passion fruit pulp, mix with 1 teaspoon of honey, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
- 9

Take out and place in the dish.
- 10

This sweet and sour, crispy and tasty passion fruit mixed with pumpkin is ready to enjoy.
