Little chicken biscuit sandwiched with steamed bun
Whimsical chick-shaped pocket buns folded and cut into plump half-moons, detailed with dark cocoa and cactus fruit powder, soft and kid-friendly.
Instructions
- 1
Mix all the main ingredients and knead into a smooth, appropriate dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 2
Roll into a long rectangular piece.
- 3
Lightly brush on a layer of oil.
- 4
Fold up and down.
- 5
Use a round cutter to cut out a large semicircle from the bottom, leaving a bit of space.
- 6

Cut out the wings and tail with the appropriate tools. Press to create patterns on the wings.
- 7
Stick it to the appropriate position.
- 8
Take an appropriate amount of dough, add dark cocoa powder and cactus fruit powder, and knead them into black and pink dough respectively. You can also add red yeast rice powder to knead it into red dough.
- 9
Use black for the eyes. Roll the pink dough into three round balls of large, medium, and small sizes, and one teardrop shape for the comb. Then knead a small piece to make the beak, and place them in the appropriate positions. As shown in the picture.
- 10
Use a little bit of white dough above the black eyes to create the chick's expression. Mix cactus fruit powder with water to draw the blush. The chick cookie is ready once the dough is sandwiched together.
- 11
Ferment until it doubles in size. Place it in the Meiyu steam oven, select the pure steam mode, and steam at 100 degrees for 18 minutes.
