Milk Salt Toast
Easy and satisfying, Milk Salt Toast uses high-gluten flour, fresh yeast and sea salt and is baked until golden and fragrant. Simple ingredients, satisfying homemade flavor.
Instructions
- 1

Place all the ingredients except the butter into the mixing bowl of the stand mixer.
- 2

Mix at low speed until clumps form, then add the butter after a rough film appears.
- 3

Knead until expanded, then carry out the basic fermentation.
- 4

After the basic fermentation has doubled in size, degas the dough and divide it into 2 portions, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 5

Roll out the dough, place salted butter on it, and roll it up from top to bottom.
- 6

Put the air into the toast box and press it gently.
- 7

Place the toast box into the oven and add a cup of warm water. I am using a Midea Yu Jian oven, set it to the fermentation function, the temperature shows 35 degrees, adjust it to 28 degrees, and let the dough ferment until it is slightly above the top.
- 8

Ferment until slightly above the toast box, make a few slits, and squeeze in some butter (extra amount).
- 9

Preheat the oven to 165°C and bake for 30-35 minutes. This Midea Yujian oven browns food very evenly. Pay attention to the coloring; if you don't like it too dark, cover with aluminum foil.
- 10

Remove from the mold after baking and store in a sealed container.
