Mini Red Bean Pastry in Scallion Pancake Style
Mini Red Bean Pastry in Scallion Pancake Style: hand-grabbed pancake, red bean paste and egg yolk in a few quick steps, baked until light, fluffy and golden. Great for beginners and experienced home cooks alike.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients. There is no need to thaw the Hand Grab Pancake after taking it out of the freezer. Squeeze an appropriate amount of red bean paste onto the surface. I used water-based bean paste, but oil-based bean paste is a bit easier to work with.
- 2
Use a spatula to evenly spread the red bean paste on the surface of the hand-grab pancake. If you like it a bit sweeter, spread it thicker. It will be easier to spread while the hand-grab pancake is frozen. Note: If the hand-grab pancake becomes too soft to handle, you can put it back in the freezer before using it again.
- 3
Try to cut the scallion pancake into long, thin triangles. I cut one scallion pancake into seven pieces. You must make sure to cut it into segments; it will be easier to roll when you do.
- 4
Roll it up from the wider side to the pointed end, place it in the baking tray, brush a layer of egg yolk on the surface, sprinkle with white sesame seeds, and it’s ready to go into the oven for baking.
- 5
Set the oven temperature to 160 degrees and bake for about 15 minutes. Once the surface turns golden, it can be taken out of the oven.
- 6
The fragrant and crispy hand-grabbed pancake goes really well with the sweet red bean paste filling, it's so delicious~

Small and cute.
