Morinda Root, Eucommia Bark, and Deer Tendon Soup
A rich Cantonese medicinal soup of overnight-soaked deer tendon, lean pork, morinda root, and eucommia bark pressure-cooked into a collagenous, deeply herbal tonic.
Instructions
- 1

Soak deer tendons in water overnight.
- 2

Clean the Morinda officinalis and Eucommia ulmoides thoroughly.
- 3

Niuxi is also called Niuzhi after being cleaned.
- 4

Remove the pits from the red dates.
- 5

Peel the ginger and slice it or crush it.
- 6

Lean meat bleeds water.
- 7

Deer tendons also fly in water.
- 8

Pour water into the electric pressure cooker up to the 8-cup mark.
- 9

Put the above ingredients in and press the 'Keep Soup' button to start cooking.
- 10

Wash the goji berries.
- 11

Once the soup is cooked, naturally release the steam and open the lid, add the goji berries, cover it, and keep it warm to simmer for 15 minutes.
- 12

Using an electric pressure cooker to make soup is quick and convenient, and it also solves the problem of purines in slow-cooked soup.
