Mugwort Steamed Bun Exclusive
A soft green steamed bun kneaded with blanched mugwort juice, mildly bitter and herbal, leavened and steamed for a moist, springy, aromatic bread.
Instructions
- 1

First, wash the mugwort thoroughly and put it into a pot of boiling water to cook for about two minutes to remove some of the bitterness, then take it out and rinse it with cold water.
- 2

Squeeze the moisture out of the mugwort and put it into a blender with a little baking soda and an appropriate amount of water, then blend into a fine juice.
- 3

Pour the juice into a large bowl, add the yeast powder, sugar, and flour, and stir with chopsticks until it forms large clumps of dough.
- 4

Knead into a smooth dough and let it rise until it doubles in size.
- 5

It will be ready in about an hour.
- 6

Knead the dough more to release the air, and divide it into small pieces of 70 grams each.
- 7

Knead into round buns for a few minutes and place them in the steamer to rest and rise again for 10-20 minutes. Start steaming with cold water for 15 minutes, then let sit for 5 minutes.
- 8

The steamed buns turned out well, looking good and soft.
