Osmanthus-flavored candied chestnuts

Osmanthus-flavored candied chestnuts

Small chestnuts are boiled, then simmered in brown sugar syrup with osmanthus sugar until glossy, finishing with dried osmanthus for a floral, caramel-sweet snack.

Instructions

    I bought the small-sized chestnuts.

After washing them clean, use a small knife to make a cut in the middle of the chestnuts, then boil them in water for 5 minutes. This makes it easier to peel the shells when eating.

After boiling, pour out the water, then add 500ml of water and brown sugar, and bring to a boil (medium heat).

After about 20 minutes, add osmanthus sugar and cook until the sauce is reduced.

Let it cool and sprinkle with osmanthus, 1-2-3 let's eat 😋
