Osmanthus Rice Wine Glutinous Rice Balls
Tiny hand-kneaded glutinous rice balls are boiled until they bob and float, then bathed in warm sweet fermented rice wine finished with osmanthus syrup for a floral, gently boozy, warming dessert.
Instructions
- 1

Add a small amount of water to glutinous rice flour to make small rice dumplings. Since glutinous rice flour does not absorb water well, you must add it little by little, gradually adjusting until the dough is not sticky and can be shaped.
- 2

When the water boils, add the small glutinous rice balls. Cook until they float, and then they are done.
- 3

The cooked small dumplings are chewy and cute.
- 4

Freshly made rice wine, depending on personal preference, a little more or a little less is fine.
- 5

Spoon of osmanthus sauce.
- 6

Add an appropriate amount of water to the fermented rice wine, bring it to a boil, stir well, then add small rice dumplings and osmanthus sauce. It's sweet, with the fragrance of flowers and wine, and is good served either chilled or hot.
