Pork Tail and Kidney Nourishing Soup
Pork tail and kidney tonic soup; carefully cleaned kidneys and pig tail simmer with soaked black beans, codonopsis, red dates, and longan into a deeply restorative herbal broth.
Instructions
- 1

Preparation: pig tail, pig kidney, ginger, black beans soaked in advance, codonopsis, red dates, longan, goji berries, Chinese yam.
- 2

To remove the odor from pork kidneys: add a small amount of salt and starch, mix well and marinate for one minute, then rinse, and repeat once more (the white parts of the pork kidney should be removed).
- 3

Add water to the pot, then put in ginger slices, rice wine (or cooking wine), and pork tail pieces, and bring to a boil.
- 4

Add the pork kidney after the water boils.
- 5

After the pig kidney changes color, remove it from the pot and rinse off the foam.
- 6

Add the cleaned pig tails and pig kidneys to the other soup ingredients and an appropriate amount of water, and start simmering the soup.
- 7

After the soup is ready, skim off the floating oil and add an appropriate amount of salt.
