Pueraria and Pork Bone Soup
A Cantonese-style broth simmering pork bone and ham with starchy kudzu root until the root turns soft and sweet, seasoned lightly because the cured ham already brings salt.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the ham and slice it.
- 2

Clean the pork bones.
- 3

Blanch with boiling water, then rinse with clean water to remove the scum.
- 4

Peel the kudzu root and cut it into large pieces, put all the ingredients into a soup pot, cover with a lid, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for one and a half hours.
- 5

Take the arrowroot out, cut it into small pieces, put it back into the soup pot, add salt (if there is ham inside, reduce the salt), bring it to a boil again, and then turn off the heat.
- 6

The taste is sweet and delicious, loved by both the elderly and children.
