Pumpkin Red Bean Paste Mini Buns (Single Fermentation)
Mini steamed buns with pumpkin puree kneaded into the dough, each wrapped around sweet red bean paste and proofed once before steaming for a tender, springy crumb.
Instructions
- 1

Steam the pumpkin until cooked, mash it with a spoon, mix it with flour and yeast, and knead into a smooth dough.
- 2

No need to ferment, directly divide the dough into 12 portions, and also divide the red bean paste into 12 portions.
- 3

Flatten the dough and wrap in the filling.
- 4

Pinch the opening closed, with the sealed side facing down.
- 5

Place the raw buns into small square molds (or directly into a steamer basket), cover with plastic wrap, and let them ferment until 1.5 times their original size. Put them into a steamer, bring the water to a boil over high heat, then steam over medium heat for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let them sit for 3-5 minutes before opening the lid.
