Pure Cornmeal Steamed Bun
Simple cone-shaped steamed buns made from pure cornmeal and yeast, dense and faintly sweet with a coarse, earthy crumb, a humble low-sugar staple.
Instructions
- 1

Mix pure cornmeal with warm water and a small amount of yeast, stir, then gradually add boiling water at 100 degrees while stirring.
- 2

Knead the dough, then stir it with your thumbs.
- 3

Knead into a ball.
- 4

Steam in a steamer over cold water for 25 minutes.
- 5

Steam until done and remove from the pot.
- 6

It really doesn't taste good, has no flavor, but for the sake of losing weight and lowering blood sugar, I endured it.
