Red Bean Bun Exclusive
Pillowy steamed buns hiding a red bean filling with a melty mozzarella center, topped with dried cranberries for a sweet-savory, slightly stretchy breakfast treat.
Instructions
- 1

Main ingredients: flour, water, yeast, and a little sugar, kneaded into a smooth dough (I used the leftover soy milk from the morning), let it rest and ferment for two hours until the dough doubles in size.
- 2

Red beans (bought from the supermarket) are taken out and gently patted loose with the back of a spoon.
- 3

Take out the mozzarella cheese.
- 4

Divide the dough into small portions, roll them out, and place a spoonful of red beans and a little cheese inside.
- 5

Pinch to seal the opening, and I sprinkled dried cranberries on the surface.
- 6

Place the dough in the steamer basket, let it rise for another half hour, then bring to a boil over high heat, and after steaming, reduce to medium-low heat and steam for twenty minutes.
- 7

Soft and sweet red bean buns, and they even have a cheesy aroma.
