Red Date, White Fungus, and Lotus Seed Soup
A traditional dessert soup of snow fungus, lotus seeds, lily bulbs, and red dates simmered until gelatinous, finished with rock sugar for a glossy, healthful sweetness.
Instructions
- 1

Soak the dried white fungus until it softens, wash it clean and let it cool, then tear it into small pieces (smaller pieces will release more gel).
- 2

Lotus seeds and lily bulbs should also be soaked in advance and cleaned. Red dates should also be washed clean.
- 3

Put all the cleaned ingredients into the pot.
- 4

Add an appropriate amount of water, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.
- 5

Add the rock sugar, then stew for about ten more minutes.
- 6

The finished product is ready to be served and can be eaten.
- 7

Doesn't it look very appetizing? Then let's get started, a simple and easy-to-make, nutritious summer dessert.
