Roasted Bread Cubes (Using leftover oil from the pot: Roast Pleurotus mushrooms)

Roasted Bread Cubes (Using leftover oil from the pot: Roast Pleurotus mushrooms)

Golden air-fried mantou cubes seasoned with cumin powder and sesame salt, tossed with bell peppers and ham sausage for a crispy, aromatic snack that revives leftover steamed buns.

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients, the bell peppers are really beautiful~

Cut the buns! I always do it like this, cutting off both sides, because the bun skin affects oil absorption and tastes bad.

The child 😂 was too eager to participate, so fewer photos were taken. Put the diced buns into the air fryer basket, sprinkle with cumin powder, sesame salt, and oil, and mix. After baking at 180 degrees for five minutes, add diced bell peppers and diced sausages. If it tastes bland, you can add some salt. (But it's best to add a small amount multiple times to avoid it being too salty, as children shouldn't have it as a snack).

Shake the roasting basket, stir everything evenly, and then roast for another five minutes. The ingredients are all ready-to-eat. If you like a firmer texture, you can roast a bit longer.

Saving food 😁 After serving out the diced buns, it felt wasteful to just scrub the pot, so I added some mushrooms (blanched, cooked, and squeezed dry) and light soy sauce, and continued heating for more than ten minutes, baking a small bowl of mushrooms.

Finished product! Sprinkle some chili powder, and it's my husband's appetizer for drinking again!
