Soy Milk Custard Filled Bread
Soy Milk Custard Filled Bread — high-gluten flour, milk and granulated sugar, baked until golden and fragrant. Easy to follow with simple step-by-step instructions.
Instructions
- 1
The specific recipe and method for homemade soy milk custard can be found in the previous recipe, and the prepared soy milk custard is just enough to be used entirely for the stuffed bread in this article.
- 2
Pour bread flour, sugar, and high-sugar tolerant yeast into the mixing bowl of the stand mixer. Add eggs and milk, select the 'Custom' mode on the mixer, mix at speed 3 until it forms a dough, then switch to speed 8 to knead for 3 minutes until a rough film forms. Add softened butter and salt.
- 3
After mixing the butter with the dough, switch to speed 8 and knead the dough for 3 minutes, until a thin, translucent gluten membrane can be pulled out.
- 4
Take the dough out of the mixing bowl, shape it into a smooth ball, divide it evenly into eight portions, roll them into balls, cover with plastic wrap, and let them rest for ten minutes.
- 5
Take a portion of dough and roll it into a rectangle, then roll it up from top to bottom, place it upright, roll it into a rectangle again, roll it up from top to bottom, and shape it into a long form. One bread dough piece is completed. Once all are done, place them on a baking tray for fermentation. Choose a fermentation method with a ratio that is convenient for you; using an oven, a fermentation box, or room temperature fermentation are all acceptable.
- 6
Ferment until the dough doubles in volume, then bake in the oven with the top heat at 160°C and the bottom heat at 180°C on the middle rack for 20-25 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil as needed based on browning. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
- 7
Cut all around each piece of bread to make the shape more regular, cut it in the middle without cutting it through, squeeze the prepared soy milk custard in the middle and around the edges, spread it evenly around with a spatula, and dip it in milk powder.
- 8
The delicious and visually appealing bread is ready, and every bite is filled with rich soy milk custard, making it incredibly satisfying.
- 9
Pack the leftovers in boxes to give as gifts—who wouldn't love a souvenir like this~
