Spicy Numbing Mix
Borrowing the spirit of northeastern street food, this customizable mix lets any cooked vegetable or noodle soak up a numbing, spicy, sweet-and-savory sauce that clings to every piece.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare all the dishes you want to eat, any dishes are fine, depending on personal preference. Just make sure the dishes are cooked.
- 2
I used white radish, which needs to be braised first to let it absorb the flavors. Put the braising ingredients and the radish into a pot, bring it to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- 3
Blanch Shanghai bok choy and Hongxi mushrooms until cooked, take them out and rinse with cold water, then put them in a bowl.
- 4
Onions and green peppers, put them in the pan with some oil and fry them a bit, and also lightly fry the luncheon meat.
- 5
Sesame paste, add sesame oil, salt, sugar, pepper, and stir until smooth.
- 6
Put all the vegetables into a bowl, chop the garlic cloves into minced garlic, chop the green onions, put all the ingredients for the spicy mix on top, heat some oil in a pan, and when you see the oil starting to smoke, pour it over the chili powder and garlic. Sizzle, and it's done.
- 7
Pour the hot oil over it, and the whole room is filled with aroma.
- 8
Mix the vegetables evenly, and the spicy numbing salad is ready. You can sprinkle some white sesame seeds on top for an even better taste. I've run out of sesame seeds.
