Spicy Shredded Radish Pickles
Shredded radish dries in the sun for a couple of days, gets rehydrated, then tumbles with sugar, chili powder, and five-spice into a chewy, spicy everyday side.
Instructions
- 1

Clean the green radish
- 2

Rub it into shreds with a grater.
- 3

Sun-dry for 1-2 days
- 4

After drying for two days, it can be considered about eighty to ninety percent dry.
- 5

Rinse the dried shredded radish to remove surface dirt, then soak it in hot water for a few minutes.
- 6

Prepare the seasonings while soaking the shredded radish: sugar, chili powder, salt, and five-spice powder.
- 7

Squeeze the water out of the soaked shredded radish and put it into a container. (Don't squeeze it too dry)
- 8

Add five-spice powder, salt, sugar, chili powder, and other seasonings in order
- 9

After adding the seasonings, mix well. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and marinate for a few hours before eating.
- 10

Take as you eat, and add a little sesame oil while eating and mix well. Sweet and spicy flavor, somewhat similar to the taste of Korean side dishes.
