Steamed Bun with the Vigorous Might of a Tiger
Pumpkin dough buns stuffed with minced pork, pickled cabbage, and chili, steamed into sandwich shapes for a hearty, savory Chinese-style burger.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the ingredients. Divide the flour into two portions: 200g and 50g.
- 2

Peel the pumpkin and cut it into slices, then place it in a pot to steam for 20 minutes (I personally used a steam oven for steaming, not baking).
- 3

Prepare the ingredients: mince the ginger, garlic, and chili together; mince the pickled vegetables and squeeze out the water. Cut the pork fat into cubes and mince the lean meat, then mix with cornstarch and knead evenly. Steam the pumpkin and mash it with a machine, or you can use a spoon to press it, making it as fine as possible.
- 4

Pour the pickled vegetables into a clean pot and stir-fry over low heat until the moisture is evaporated, then set aside.
- 5

Pour a small amount of oil into the pot, add the diced fatty pork, and render the lard.
- 6

Add minced ginger, garlic, and chili and stir-fry until fragrant.
- 7

Add the lean meat and quickly break up the minced meat with a spatula.
- 8

Add 1 tablespoon of Weidamei premium cooking wine.
- 9

1 tablespoon of Weidamei premium superior light soy sauce.
- 10

Add 2 tablespoons of Weidamei Premium Oyster Sauce and stir-fry evenly.
- 11

Add the pickled vegetables and stir-fry, drizzle in a little starch water, and stir-fry evenly.
- 12

The filling is ready, and it's also quite good to eat with rice.
- 13

Add 2 grams of yeast, sugar, and about 100 grams of pumpkin puree to the flour, mix well, and pour onto a kneading mat to knead until smooth.
- 14

Add 0.5 grams of yeast and 25 grams of water to the flour, knead until smooth dough, divide in half, add a little cocoa powder to one portion, and knead evenly.
- 15

Set aside 25 grams of the pumpkin dough for the ears, and divide the remaining dough evenly into 6 portions.
- 16

Roll out the white dough with a rolling pin, press out small circles to make the nose. Divide the pumpkin dough into 2-gram pieces, roll into balls to make the ears. Cut the cocoa powder dough into shreds and roll into small dots to make the whiskers and eyes.
- 17

Knead the pumpkin dough evenly, roll it out into a shape like an ox tongue with a rolling pin, and brush a thin layer of edible oil to prevent sticking.
- 18

After applying oil, fold it in half vertically and horizontally.
- 19

Face assembly: Stick on the ears and press with a toothpick. Stick the eyes and nose as shown in the picture. For the nose, first poke some holes with a toothpick, then stick it on. Use half a goji berry as the tongue, and roll strips by hand for the whiskers and the character 'Wang', then stick them on.

This is a steamed 'Tiger Tiger Vitality' sandwich, isn't it so cute!

The bun can be easily torn open in the middle, filled with pickled vegetables and minced meat, and it tastes great! This will definitely be the beautiful highlight on this year's New Year's Eve table.
