Steamed Rice Cake in Small Pot
Sweet translucent rice cakes steamed in small bowls until springy and bouncy, a beloved Cantonese street snack, here dotted with raisins for extra charm.
Instructions
- 1

Take 200g of steamed rice pudding.
- 2

Dissolve about 50g of white sugar in 300ml of water, and let the sugar water cool for later use.
- 3

Pour 200g of pudding powder into the cooled sugar water and stir well (make sure to stir thoroughly until there is no dry powder and it is completely blended).
- 4

Pour into a small bowl, not filling it to the top, then bring water to a boil in a pot. Once the water is boiling, place the batter into the pot to steam (I personally added a few raisins inside).
- 5

Steam for about 15 minutes until cooked and then take out (the time may vary slightly depending on the size and thickness of the bowl).
- 6

After cooling, use a small skewer to poke along the edges and thread them together.
