Stir-Fried Noodles (Rice Cake) with Pickled Cabbage and Pork

Chewy Guangxi fenli rice cake strips wok-fried with tangy pickled cabbage, marinated pork and aromatics, absorbing sour-savory sauce for a punchy, satisfying stir-fry.

Instructions

  1. 1
    Step image

Wash the pickled vegetables clean and cut them.

  2. 2

Cut the tripe well. I think when stir-frying in strips, it won't stick together in clumps, and it absorbs the flavor better.

  3. 3

Prepare some ginger and garlic. If you like spicy food, adding some chili makes it even better.

  4. 4
    Step image

Marinate the lean meat with starch, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce for a short while.

  5. 5
    Step image

Heat oil in a pan, then add ginger and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.

  6. 6
    Step image

Add the lean meat to the pot and stir-fry.

  7. 7
    Step image

Add the raw meat slices into the pickled vegetables.

  8. 8
    Step image

    Stir-fry evenly.

  9. 9
    Step image

    Add the powder.

  10. 10
    Step image

Add some salt, light soy sauce, and sugar, and stir-fry evenly.

  11. 11
    Step image

Add some oyster sauce before taking it off the heat.

  12. 12
    Step image

Because pickled vegetables and vermicelli don't need to be stir-fried much, it's just to absorb the flavor, so basically just heating and mixing them evenly with the seasoning is enough. It goes really well with rice 😁
