Swedish cinnamon roll
A cardamom-scented yeast dough is enriched with warm butter and milk, then rolled, filled, and baked into soft Nordic swirls. Fika culture at its coziest.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare all the main ingredients
- 2

Mix the flour, cardamom powder, sugar, and salt together.
- 3

Melt the butter in the microwave and slightly heat the milk. Mix the butter and milk together, test the temperature with your fingers, and when the mixture feels like finger temperature, add the active yeast and dissolve it.
- 4

Mix the ingredients from steps 2 and 3
- 5

Knead into a smooth dough, cover with a clean cloth, and you can start fermenting it :)
- 6

During fermentation, we can prepare the filling (that is, the ingredients in the recipe).
- 7

Mix all the fillings together. If the madeleine is relatively hard and has not softened at room temperature, you can knead it by hand, and your hands can help soften the madeleine.
- 8

Wait until the dough has doubled in size, then it will be ready.
- 9

Take one-sixth of the dough and roll it into a dough sheet, not too thin, and then brush on one-sixth of the filling.
- 10

Roll up the dough skin, cut into rolls about 20cm long, and place them in the base.
- 11

Place the rolls on the baking tray and quietly wait for their second fermentation.
- 12

Brush the surface with egg wash, preheat the oven to 225 degrees, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- 13

You can start eating, cinnamon rolls~ You can pair them with a cup of coffee.
