Taro Ball and Red Bean Soup
A sweet dessert soup of slow-simmered red beans with chewy homemade taro balls made from steamed sweet potato, starch, and glutinous rice flour.
Instructions
- 1

Soak the red beans for a few hours or overnight. Rinse the soaked red beans and put them in a clay pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and press the soup cooking button!
- 2

Slice the sweet potatoes and steam until cooked, then take them out and add sweet potato starch and glutinous rice flour, mixing into a dough. Place it in the freezer for 30 minutes, then use a mold to press into small flower patterns or simply roll into small balls! This is up to personal preference.

My family's electric purple clay pot takes about three and a half hours to cook soup. After the red beans have been cooking for about three hours, add the sweet potato balls and rock sugar, then cook for another 30 minutes!

The delicious blood-nourishing and beauty-enhancing sweet potato and red bean soup is ready, very tasty!
