Taro Stewed with Spare Ribs
Fresh and cured spare ribs are stewed with taro until both turn soft and rich, absorbing each other's flavors in a hearty one-pot dish.
Instructions
- 1

Soak the preserved pork ribs in advance, and wash the ribs clean.
- 2

Peel and wash the taro, then cut it into irregular chunks.
- 3

Blanch fresh spare ribs and cured spare ribs in a pot with some green onions and ginger.
- 4

After boiling, remove it, wash off the blood scum, and drain the water.
- 5

Pour the blanched ribs into the electric stew pot, add an appropriate amount of warm water, and cook for 1 hour. Add a little cooking wine after boiling.
- 6

Add the chopped taro when there are 30 minutes left.
- 7

Bring it up and stew for another 30 minutes.
- 8

Finally, add some salt to season. Since salted cured ribs were added, taste it at the end before adding more salt.
- 9

You can take it off the heat and serve it in a bowl.
