tea egg

Hard-boiled eggs are gently cracked all over and simmered with black tea, soy sauces, sugar, and a spice sachet, then steeped overnight so the whites absorb a marbled, savory tea aroma.

Instructions

  1. 1

Wash the eggs clean, put water in the pot and add the eggs, then cook until done.

  2. 2

Remove and place in cold water, crack them one by one, put water in the pot, add the eggs, and add the spice packet.

  3. 3

After boiling, add the tea leaves, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and salt, and cook for a while.

  4. 4

Transfer to the rice cooker, simmer for half an hour and turn it off, let it sit for a day to absorb the flavor.
