Tofu and Mushroom Soup
A simple, comforting soup that calls for soft tofu and fresh mushrooms simmered in water, letting the delicate, savory flavors shine.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients. Tofu is generally divided into soft tofu and firm tofu. For making soup, it is recommended to choose soft tofu, as it has a smoother and more delicate texture when eaten.
- 2
Turn on the gas stove and add about 1.5L of clean water to the pot. Bring it to a boil over high heat (the amount of water depends on the number of people at home; I prepared it for 4 people).
- 3
Wait until the water in the pot boils, then add the tofu cut into pieces. When putting the tofu into the pot, be careful not to get scalded by the boiling water; you can slowly place the tofu into the pot along the edge.
- 4
After waiting for the tofu to come to a boil, use a spoon to scoop the Six Mushroom Soup into the pot. One bottle of Six Mushroom Soup can make 4 to 6 servings. My family likes light flavors, so I added more than half a bottle of Six Mushroom Soup.
- 5
After adding the mushroom soup to the pot, first bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 6
After turning off the heat, add 2 blanched spinach leaves, and it is ready to eat.
