Tomato Beef Short Rib Vegetable Soup
A rich slow-simmered soup of beef short ribs with a spice sachet, onions, and garlic, with tomatoes added in stages for layered sweet-tangy depth in the savory broth.
Instructions
- 1

Blanch the beef ribs and wash them clean
- 2

Add a large amount of mineral water, minced garlic, and sliced onions into the soup pot. Add spices to the tea bag. Bring to a boil over high heat, then add beef short ribs and a small amount of black peppercorns. Turn to low heat, cover, and simmer for one hour.
- 3

Cut two tomatoes into small pieces and add them to the soup pot that has been simmering for an hour. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat, cover, and continue to simmer for another half hour.
- 4

After half an hour, add the other two tomatoes cut into small pieces, small pieces of carrot, and small pieces of potato. Turn the heat to high and bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
- 5

After this, remove the spice bag, add light soy sauce, salt, and black peppercorns to season, then continue to cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
- 6

Tear the cilantro apart and sprinkle it into the pot to finish.
