Traditional Cornmeal Wowo Head Exclusive
Traditional steamed cornmeal cones scalded with boiling water for tenderness, flecked with diced carrot and greens, lightly leavened with baking soda for a soft, rustic crumb.
Instructions
- 1
Put 300g of cornmeal into a bowl, add 300g of boiling water, and stir quickly until well mixed.
- 2
The amount of water is just an estimate; add as appropriate and stir until it becomes flaky.
- 3
Add salt, baking soda, diced yellow carrot, and chopped greens. Carrots look better, but since there are none, we can only use some yellow carrots.
- 4
Stir evenly again.
- 5
Shape it into the form of a corn bun. (I used a corn bun mold)
- 6
Steam for 20 minutes after the water boils, then let it sit for 3 minutes.
- 7
Finished product.
