Tricolor Quinoa Whole Wheat Steamed Bun
Wholesome steamed buns made from whole wheat flour and soaked tricolor quinoa, enriched with egg and warm milk, then fermented and steamed for a nutty, chewy, fiber-rich texture.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare 60 grams of tri-color quinoa, wash it thoroughly, and soak it in water for more than 2 hours in advance.
- 2

Drain the quinoa.
- 3

Pour the whole wheat flour into a large bowl.
- 4

Add yeast, one egg, 100 grams of warm milk, and stir until it becomes like cotton wool.
- 5

Add the soaked quinoa.
- 6

Mix until it forms a dough-like texture.
- 7

Knead into a smooth dough, and let it ferment in a warm place until it doubles in size.
- 8

Kneaded dough that has finished fermenting, shape and degas it.
- 9

Divide into 8 equal parts.
- 10

Take out a piece of dough and roll it into a slightly tall bun shape; the raw bun is ready.
- 11

Complete them one by one, place them in the steamer, leaving gaps in between, and let them rest for another 20 minutes.
- 12

Place the pot with cold water on the stove, after it comes to a boil, steam on high heat for 15 minutes, turn off the heat, then continue to steam for another 3-5 minutes.
- 13

Alright.
