Two-tone lace egg roll
Delicate buttery lace tuiles made from whipped eggs, sugar, melted butter, and cake flour, piped thin and griddle-baked into crisp, lacy two-tone rolls.
Instructions
- 1

Materials are ready.
- 2

Melt the butter in a double boiler.
- 3

Beat the eggs with sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 4

Add the melted butter and mix evenly.
- 5

Mix in the sifted low-gluten flour.
- 6

Stir until it reaches a thick, dropable consistency. If it's too dry, you can add some beaten egg to adjust.
- 7

Fill into a piping bag and cut a very small tip.
- 8

The Xin Si Te X5 electric griddle doesn’t require oil; just turn on the lower heat. Once it reaches the desired temperature, turn off the switch.
- 9

Squeeze the batter from the piping bag into the electric griddle in a circular motion. Remove it after it sets.
- 10

Roll it up while it's hot. When rolling, turn the heat down and preheat again.
- 11

You can use half of the batter and add an appropriate amount of matcha powder to make matcha-flavored egg rolls.
- 12

Place in the middle layer of the oven at 150°C and bake for 10 minutes to set the shape and make the egg roll crispy.
- 13

Let it cool after coming out of the oven.
