Vegetable cornmeal dumplings
Cornmeal dumplings packed with blanched greens, carrot and mushroom, steamed or pan-cooked into rustic, wholesome bites with a nutty corn aroma.
Instructions
- 1

I bought a bit too much cornmeal, so I’ll use it to make some vegetable dumplings. If you don’t have this, you can use raw corn flour.
- 2

Take 100g and pour it into a bowl.
- 3

Prepare the vegetables: bok choy, mushrooms, and carrots.
- 4

Boil a pot of water, add an appropriate amount of salt, and blanch the vegetables for 30 seconds.
- 5

After scooping up the green vegetables, place them in cold water to cool, then squeeze out the water and chop into small pieces.
- 6

Shred the carrot, and dice the mushrooms.
- 7

Put the vegetables into a bowl, add one egg, and add all the seasonings.
- 8

Then add 50g of cornstarch.
- 9

Mix evenly.
- 10

Make into small balls, roll them in the remaining cornmeal, let the cornmeal coat the vegetable balls.
- 11

Do all of them in order.
- 12

Steam over high heat in the pot for 8 minutes.
- 13

When the time is up, take it off the heat.
- 14

Finished product. Nutritious and healthy breakfast, very delicious.
