Vegetable Pearl Soup
A comforting dough-drop soup where tiny hand-made flour pearls simmer with wood ear, potato, ham and cabbage into a thick, hearty, rustic porridge-like meal in a bowl.
Instructions
- 1

Soak the black fungus until ready, blanch it in hot water, then cut it into thin strips. Cut the ham and potatoes into cubes, and shred the cabbage. Prepare everything.
- 2

Next, prepare the dough lumps. Put an appropriate amount of dry flour in a bowl and have cold water ready. Drip the water into the bowl drop by drop, and stir with chopsticks each time you add a drop. When small lumps appear in the flour, set them aside and continue adding water to the remaining dry flour until all the flour reaches the consistency shown in the picture. This means it's ready! Remember not to rush, do it little by little.
- 3

Add oil to the pot, stir-fry all the ingredients in the pot, and add an appropriate amount of water and seasonings.
- 4

Bring the soup to a boil, add the noodle lumps, stirring with chopsticks while adding them.
- 5

When the noodles with lumps are cooked, turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped green onions.
- 6

It's done cooking.
